Living in this world means we are part of it. Therefore, we should take responsibility for protecting the world. To better understand how we are all connected on a global scale, we need to develop some skills and increase our awareness of global issues. In this six-module online course, you will become familiar with what is meant by Global Citizenship to further practice your English language. You will practice the language by engaging with topics about the world we are part of. We will start the course by exploring the definitions of global citizenship and the characteristics of a global citizen. Then we will unfold topics like forming identities, emotions, and values. At the end of the course, we will discuss the concept of sustainability and how it relates to Global Citizenship. These topics will be presented through reading, listening, and writing.
